Built From Personal Experience

Mimea exists because one veteran's journey with plant-based wellness revealed a gap that no one was filling.

Meet the Founder

Bevon Findley

I served eight years in the United States Navy. During that time, I sustained injuries that changed the course of my life — a bad back, three surgeries on my right wrist, osteoarthritis, and torn ligaments and tendons in both wrists. The pain became a constant companion.

For years, I relied on pharmaceutical pills to manage it. Pills that risked liver damage over time. Pills that made me feel like a zombie. I knew there had to be a better way.

That better way turned out to be plant-based wellness. CBD, CBG, CBN, CBC, low-dose THC, and terpenes helped me manage my pain, lowered my blood pressure, and supported my mental wellness. For the first time in years, I could function — not just survive, but build.

Building education systems has been a constant in my life. In the Navy, I became a training officer — mastering the engineering department's systems and writing technical manuals for my crew and for the sailors who would follow. After service, I led development teams at a digital agency where we built an internal education platform teaching digital marketing, coding, SEO, and graphic design. At a medical digital agency, I helped build a patient education library licensed to doctors and hospitals across multiple specialties. Every field I entered, I built the infrastructure to teach it.

So when plant wellness changed my life — and I found a community starved for reliable information — I did what I always do. I created and hosted over 50 events across the United States and Grenada. I built and manage a 26,000-member Reddit community dedicated to CBD education. I reviewed thousands of products and helped hundreds of thousands of people find reliable information about plant-based wellness.

But I kept running into the same problem everywhere: scattered forums, dead Facebook groups, sketchy advice, and no single community built specifically for people who take plant wellness seriously. So I built one.

The previous administration in Grenada invited me to relocate and do my part in helping the country establish a medical cannabis industry — and help make it thrive compared to other islands in the Caribbean. I accepted because I believe community and education are the foundation of any successful industry.

Phytopedia is the evidence-based education platform — where the science lives. Mimea is the community — where plant people learn, connect, and grow together.

This isn't just a platform. It's personal. Every feature exists because I needed it first.

Three Voices. One Community.

Mimea is guided by three characters — each representing a different way people connect with plant wellness.
